Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SpeechMaxx mobile app and related services (the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using SpeechMaxx, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who We Are

SpeechMaxx is an AI speech coaching app that helps users practice speaking through missions, scenarios, transcripts, and score-based coaching feedback.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use SpeechMaxx. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Account and Access

You may sign in with Apple. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your account credentials secure.

4. Subscriptions, Trials, and Billing (App Store)

• Paid features are offered as auto-renewable subscriptions (for example Monthly and Annual) and may include a one-time Lifetime purchase.
• Payments are billed by Apple through your Apple ID account. We do not receive your full payment card details.
• If you start a free trial, billing begins when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled in Apple ID settings.
• Refund requests are handled by Apple, typically through reportaproblem.apple.com.

Use of the app is also subject to Apple's standard EULA where applicable: Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes, without limitation:

• violating any law or third-party rights;
• attempting to reverse engineer or interfere with app security or functionality;
• using the app to harass, defame, impersonate, or otherwise harm others;
• uploading or generating illegal or abusive content.

6. Voice Content and AI Outputs

• SpeechMaxx processes your voice input to provide transcript, scoring, and coaching features.
• By default, we process raw audio transiently and do not retain it unless you explicitly choose a save/recording feature.
• You retain rights in content you submit, and grant us a limited license to process it only to operate and improve the Service for you.
• AI scores and feedback are automated and may be imperfect.

7. Data Minimization Statement

SpeechMaxx is built to collect as little personal data as possible while still providing core functionality. We do not sell personal data and do not run third-party ad tracking across apps.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including software, branding, interface design, and app content (excluding your content), is owned by SpeechMaxx or its licensors and protected by law.

9. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that creates legal, security, or abuse risk.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." SpeechMaxx is a training tool and not medical, legal, mental health, or professional advisory service.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, SpeechMaxx is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material updates will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date and may also be presented in-app.
