What is SpeechMaxx?

SpeechMaxx is an AI speech coach that listens to you, scores you, and rebuilds your delivery — through daily speaking missions, live AI phone-call scenarios, and instant multi-dimensional analysis.

How does it work?

Three steps: Talk into a daily mission, scenario, or live AI phone call. See your instant scores and written coach notes. Improve with daily reps that compound into measurable gains in clarity, confidence, and presence.

Do I need any special equipment?

No. Just your phone and a reasonably quiet spot. SpeechMaxx uses your device's microphone, runs analysis in the cloud, and sends back your scores and coach notes within seconds.

What is the baseline analysis?

A 3-part diagnostic (vocabulary, conversation, live pitch) you complete during onboarding. It builds your personalized speaking profile, gives you a real starting score, and projects where you could be in 30 days.

Missions & Scenarios

What kinds of missions are there?

One targeted speaking challenge per day across real moments that matter — investor pitches, salary negotiations, interviews, standups, wedding toasts, first dates, difficult conversations, and more.

How do AI phone-call scenarios work?

A live, back-and-forth voice call with an AI character — the tough investor, the skeptical hiring manager, the first-date match. The character responds in realistic voice, pushes back, and asks follow-ups. Afterward you get the full transcript plus per-turn coaching notes.

Can I retry a mission?

Yes — as many times as you want. Each attempt is scored and saved, so you can compare your 3rd take against your 1st and see exactly where you improved.

How long is each mission?

Most daily missions are 60 seconds. AI phone-call scenarios run 3–6 minutes depending on the character and topic.

Scoring & Analysis

What gets scored?

Every session is scored across six dimensions:

  • Clarity — how easily you're understood
  • Confidence — whether you sound like you mean it
  • Pacing — too fast, too slow, or locked in
  • Filler words — "um," "like," "you know," counted and timestamped
  • Structure — hook, point, payoff, or mush
  • Presence — tone, energy, and command
How accurate is the scoring?

Scoring is powered by state-of-the-art speech and language models calibrated against thousands of graded samples. It's designed to be directionally accurate and highly consistent across sessions — so your trajectory is what matters most.

Do I get a transcript?

Yes. Every mission and phone-call scenario comes with a full transcript, filler words highlighted, and a written coach summary telling you exactly what to fix next time.

Progress & Pathways

How do streaks work?

Every day you complete at least one mission, your streak grows. Miss a day and the streak resets. Streaks are built to make practice a daily identity, not a chore.

What are pathways?

Curated level-based tracks built for real outcomes: Business (pitches, negotiations, exec presence), Dating (openers, charisma, storytelling), Social (small talk, group dynamics), Leadership (standups, hard conversations, all-hands).

How does vocabulary mastery work?

Swipeable cards of power words, transition phrases, and executive language, scheduled via spaced repetition so the words you learn today surface in next week's meeting automatically.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — every new subscriber on Monthly or Annual gets a 3-day free trial with full access to missions, AI phone-call scenarios, all pathways, scoring, and vocabulary mastery. You won't be charged until the trial ends.

How do I cancel?

Cancel anytime through your Apple ID settings:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Tap SpeechMaxx and select Cancel Subscription

You'll keep access until the end of the current billing period.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open SpeechMaxx → Settings → tap Restore Purchases. This syncs any active subscription or Lifetime purchase tied to your Apple ID.

Do you offer refunds?

Subscription refunds are handled by Apple. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Account & Privacy

How do I create an account?

SpeechMaxx uses Sign in with Apple for fast, private, and secure account creation. Just tap the button and authenticate with Face ID or your passcode.

Is my audio stored?

By default, no. Audio is processed for transcription and scoring and then discarded. You can optionally save a session recording to your account from the post-session screen — those recordings stay private to you and can be deleted at any time.

What data does SpeechMaxx collect?

Only what's needed to run the app — your scores, transcripts, mission history, streak data, and account identifier. We do not sell or share your personal data with third-party advertisers. See our full Privacy Policy.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Request deletion from inside the app under Settings, or email support@speechmaxx.app. We'll remove all your data within 30 days.

Troubleshooting

My mission scored lower than I expected.

Check the written coach notes — they explain specifically what dragged your score down. Common causes: background noise, rushed pacing, too many fillers, or structure that never lands a clear point. Retry with one fix and watch the number move.

The AI phone call isn't connecting.

Ensure SpeechMaxx has microphone permissions enabled, confirm a stable internet connection, and restart the app. If the issue persists, email support@speechmaxx.app with your device model and iOS version.

The app is asking for microphone access. Why?

SpeechMaxx needs the microphone to hear you speak during missions, scenarios, and phone calls. Without it, there's nothing to score. Audio handling is covered in the Privacy Policy.

Does SpeechMaxx work offline?

Vocabulary mastery cards work offline. Live scoring, phone-call scenarios, and transcript generation require an internet connection because they run in the cloud.
